Guns and Hoses Hockey
Guns & Hoses Charity Hockey Benefit Saturday 3/28 Come out and support your local Police and Fire hockey teams.All proceeds will go to the Last Call Foundation in support of Blue Hills regional teacher Katherine Sullivan, who is running this years Boston Marathon for the Last Call Foundation. Admission is 10$ for adults, kids under 10 free. We will have a 50/50 raffle,Chuck-a-puck contest, and raffle items for auction. Puck drops @415 pm with Stoughton Fire/Pd vs Walpole Fire/Pd on the Olympic Rink. Randolph Fire/Pd square off against Westwood Fire /Pd @ 4:50 on the NHL Rink. The Malden Firefighters Local 902 welcome three new firefighters. David Ball, Bradford Bianchi and Andrew Salerno. David Ball served in the U.S. Coast Guard and as a United States Air National Guard Firefighter in Westfield. Bradford Bianchi served in the United States Air Force for four years as an Aircraft Armament Systems Journeyman.

The Kent Firefighters union Local 1747 participated in this years Relay for Life at French Field on May 29-30. The relay, which raises money for cancer research and prevention, consists of teams walking laps around the track at all times during the relay. This year, the relay lasted from 1800 hours on May 29 until 1100 on the 30th.

AFD Retirees Patrick McKinney, Mark Chavez, Mike McKinstry, Donny Sanchez, Robert Larranaga, Sam Trujillo and Firefighters from Rio Rancho Fire Station 3 built two wheel chair ramps for our retired brother James “Baby Doll” Dahl to assist in his recovery at home from his motorcycle accident. Great Lakes Burn Camp Contest with Art Van

I am extremely excited to let you know that the Great Lakes Burn Camp is a part of the Art Van Charity Challenge, a fundraising campaign launched by Art Van Furniture. The camp is open to burn survivors, ages 6-17, from all over Michigan. We even have campers from all over the country come and join us for one week in the summer and a long weekend in the winter.

Hoover , AL Fire Fighters Upset Over Plea Deal in Attempted Murder Case

Hoover, AL Fire Fighters and members of IAFF Local 4035 are upset and angry that a man who shot at them from inside his home and charged with attempted murder was allowed to plea guilty to a lesser charge and received probation as part of his plea agreement with the district attorney office. What really is mind boggling is that this person will receive his seized guns back in 6 months.

As members of Class 226 both firefighters as well as 21 of their classmates from 12 different Massachusetts communities completed the vigorious 45 day program. Both FF. On Thursday evening, May 14th, Group 2 responded to a reported building fire in an apartment complex on Moraine Street. Initial response was Engine 1, Engine 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Car 3 and a Waltham Engine Company on the line box. On arrival heavy smoke was pushing from the charlie side, basement division.
