Guns and Hoses Hockey
Guns & Hoses Charity Hockey Benefit Saturday 3/28 Come out and support your local Police and Fire hockey teams.All proceeds will go to the Last Call Foundation in support of Blue Hills regional teacher Katherine Sullivan, who is running this years Boston Marathon for the Last Call Foundation. Admission is 10$ for adults, kids under 10 free. We will have a 50/50 raffle,Chuck-a-puck contest, and raffle items for auction. Puck drops @415 pm with Stoughton Fire/Pd vs Walpole Fire/Pd on the Olympic Rink. Randolph Fire/Pd square off against Westwood Fire /Pd @ 4:50 on the NHL Rink. The portions of the Missoula and Ninemile Ranger District within Mineral County as well as the entire Superior RD and Plains-Thompson Falls ranger districts of the Lolo National Forest are under Stage II Fire Restrictions due to continued dry conditions and potential for rapid and dangerous fire growth.

This years Chili Cookoff will be Saturday, Nov. 7th.  Last year we took Marion Counties HOTTEST Chili and 2nd Place PEOPLES CHOICE awards.  As usual we will be needing volunteers for the day of the cookoff.  We will be cooking for the cookoff Friday, Nov. 6th at the Union Hall for anyone who wants to participate in cooking.

Chief Bill Fitzmaurice, who joined the department in February 1987 as a Firefighter-Paramedic, and who officially retires as of August 10th.

Fire Damages Apartments in Charleston, W.Va.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person was taken to the hospital after an apartment fire, Sunday evening. It happened at the Terrace Park East apartment building along Kanawha Boulevard, about 4:00 p.m. Fire crews tell WSAZ that the person taken to the hospital was suffering a panic attack. No physical injuries were reported.

This year is the 10 year anniversary of Hurricance Katrina. The job done by the fire fighters in the Gulf Coast area was amazing and they showed the world that fire fighters will always be there for them even in the most difficult conditions. Remeber many of these fire fighters were on dutys for days knowing all along that their house had been destroyed. Job well done brothers & sisters.
